Alfredo Aponte - Thinking out loud...

Hello, my name is Alfredo. I am a multi-discipline designer with a focus in product experience. Though I didn't plan it this way, my path has been built by many ordinary events that simply been building on one another.

What you see here is simply an archive of the things that I find interesting or may be exploring. I also take photos, send random texts via twitter, and I organize Atlanta Pecha Kucha. However, you can just keep the social communication professional and connect with me on LinkedIn too.

Technology is rewiring our brains! →

Yes! I would agree that technology is rewiring our brains and I would add that it is doing the same to our cognitive behavior too. The New York Times just published an article on a topic that has always fascinated me because I myself always questioning why are we so easily swoon by technology and social media. It is amazing how difficult it is to just turn it off.

It was a wet day in Copenhagen today, and that didn’t seem to stop the cyclist from riding either. Why? It is because about 99% of the urban bikes are setup with fenders. Fenders are a necessary accessory for all bikes in rainy cities. Besides, who really wants water and mud sprayed up their arse.

In Copenhagen, I have learned that you cannot live in this city without a kickstand because sometimes you may not be able to find a parking space. In result, you need to be able to stand your bike on its own, lock the wheel lock and trust that it will be safe when you return.
